Inclusive Schools Week
December 2-6, 2024
Inclusive Schools Week is happening December 2-6 at our school district and throughout the country. The purpose of the week is to actively engage our students and school-wide community to be conscious of what it means to be inclusive, the importance of respecting others, and building empathy for one another.
SEPAC SOMA promotes inclusive communities all year long, but this week is a good reminder for us all to talk to our children about others’ differences and how important it is to respect those differences. You can also learn more about the Inclusive Schools Network’s focus on celebrating “students who are marginalized due to disability, gender, socioeconomic status, cultural heritage, language preference, and other factors.”
