TSTI’s Movies Together Virtual Discussion
“Crip Camp” with Judy Heumann
February 5, 2023 @ 4pm

This Sunday! February 5th @ 4pm
Disability rights activist Judith Heumann will be leading Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel’s Movies Together discussion of “Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution,” the 2020 documentary about a 1970s Catskills summer camp that galvanized a group of teens to build the disability rights movement. If you aren’t familiar with Judy Heumann, she is a lifelong activist and is considered to be “the mother of disability rights.”
This is an amazing opportunity to hear directly from a powerhouse in the disability community. TSTI welcomes our SEPAC SOMA community to join the discussion, but it’s highly recommended that you watch the documentary first (available on Netflix and YouTube) and you must pre-register to receive the Zoom link.
p.s. Even if you aren’t able to join the discussion on Sunday, “Crip Camp” is a must watch! Click here to view the trailer.
